Always with one promise: an evening you’ll never forget. For over a hundred years, we’ve been helping shape Rotterdam. With two iconic theaters right in the heart of the city, Rotterdam is in our DNA. In our activities, our collaborations, and in the people who work here. We build bridges between people and stories. Luxor is a place where people come together. Whether during a jam session or dance afternoon at Café Dox, a performance in the theater, or an exhibition at the Containertrap.
Luxor Art Hub: Artists and Roommates
Luxor provides a workspace for entrepreneurial, creative, and social initiatives and startups. Within our professional and versatile environment, they come together to form a collaborative hub where they can continue to develop and professionalize. Through this so-called Luxor Art Hub, Luxor connects with the city’s creators.
History
In 1917, two entrepreneurs had the Luxor Theater built on Kruiskade in Rotterdam: a movie theater that was immediately, by far, the largest in the Netherlands. For over a century, the Luxor has been an important part of Rotterdam’s nightlife and continues to evolve.
